Music Downloads: Bird

Picture
Bird was the Saucers' first YouTube hit, a slow number which is intended to be played by a rock band complete with lead, rhythm and bass guitars.   That might happen some time if suitable volunteers can be found.

But there was another difficulty with Bird; it was an incredibly hard song to sing, at least for me.   There were real breathing problems with the original versions, and the last line of the chorus had to be modified slightly to allow more chances to re-group along the way.

In the end I re-wrote the tune completely in 2019, although keeping the same words. Trying to to make it sound respectable is the next challenge, but it's on my to-do list to learn how to add rhythm & bass to the basic track.

In the meantime, here's a crude acoustic version to be going along with.  The best I can do is to sing it in the key of A. (I actually play that in G but with the capo three frets up. It still needs the awkward B minor barré chord, but hey...)
