The Lawn Chair Soirée: Flash Fiction and Poetry Reading

A rare moment... a 5-minute video of me reading four 100-word flash fiction stories, followed by two short poems. The occasion was a 'virtual' event at The Lawn Chair Soirée in Montreal on 30th April, 2020. (If you're reading this looking back from a couple of years later, that was during the COVID-19 lockdown.)

Though she would deny it, the mainspring of The Lawn Chair Soirée is my very good friend Jan Jorgensen: 'pastor to the unaffiliated' (her term), poet, once-jailed protester against Reagan's arms policy and with a history of skinny-dipping. Who wouldn't like that mixture?

I've only ever met her through the medium of the internet, and she's actually at the other end of this conversation.
