Grace Notes: Collected Short Stories
I've written several novels (with more to come). Readers will be aware that I'm also the editor of Friday Flash Fiction and have written masses of micro-fiction, too. But occasionally, I turn to my hand to full-length short-story writing as well.
Some years ago, I became aware that I'd written more of these short stories, more than enough to publish as a collection. Eventually, I put together 20 of them into a little collection, to be published in 2023. Some were written to provide a taste of other books, notably Four Old Geezers and a Valkyrie; quite a few feature original music. But you don't need to be a music fan or have read the novel to enjoy these stories. There should be something for everyone. |

Ex Libris
This is the first story in the the Grace Notes collection is called Ex Libris. The story was written for an author event at Love Your Library Week in Loanhead Library in February 2015. The organisers promised that I'd be turning up with some new material... so I thought I'd better write some. You can read it here.

Fishermen
A story about a grandfather and grandson on a fishing trip. If you have any dealings with small children, you'll recognise this. This one comes with a surprise, too – you can hear Gordon reading it himself.
