Self-Publishing – The Total Beginner's Guide

Back in 2012, Gordon founded Comely Bank Publishing, an innovative self-publishing collective based in Edinburgh. Prepared to be tough with each other, the group launched the writing careers of a number of local authors. Setting high standards, "CBP's" titles were almost all relatively successful (i.e. "made money"!), the sole exception being an ill-fated venture into Young Adult fiction.
Although the work was shared around the collective, understandably most of the work fell to Gordon himself. In the process, he picked up all sorts of tips and tricks of the book trade, and in June 2020, his manual Self-Publishing – The Total Beginner's Guide was published by an imprint of CBP, Dean Park Press.

Priced 99p for the ebook edition, Self-Publishing – The Total Beginner's Guide covers almost every conceivable aspect of the writing and publishing process. There is a print version, too, priced at £9.99, but that's really only for those who absolutely crave print, even for this sort of thing.
